My passion is helping families form healthy habits together and empowering kids with the knowledge and confidence to be the hero of their own story.


I guess this is the part where I tell you ALL about myself and why you should join my program.


I'm not. Instead, let me tell you WHY I created this for YOU and your kids.

For well over 20 years, I was a personal trainer and health coach, and I eventually opened my gym, where I ran successful weight loss challenges.  

I helped hundreds of adults reverse the long-term effects of negative self-image and poor nutrition habits, and I noticed something significant…

When I met with each participant, I could often trace their unhealthy patterns to some point in their childhood when they first learned these conditioned patterns that self-sabotaged their efforts as adults.

I’ll never forget one of those clients who walked into my office as a highly successful VP of sales and marketing in a large company….who would get out of breath whenever she walked up a flight of stairs.  

As we worked together, we began to trace the threads of her identity back to her childhood, where she had labeled herself ‘the fat kid.’ 

That was a self-inflicted label she put on herself.

Being the fat kid became an IN-security blanket of sorts for her. But one that was comforting nonetheless. 

And no matter how much success she built for herself in her adult life, underneath it all was that same little girl trying to figure out who she was.

She grew up regular, just like any other kid.

Her parents would sit down for family dinners and try to serve a well-balanced meal with a corner of the plate dedicated to a lonely and outcasted green veggie that was usually barely touched.

On the outside, Karen’s parents thought she was a picky eater.

But on the inside…

Something else was going on with Karen...

A storm of insecurities was brewing.

Insecurities that made her feel different, and her self-worth was on the line.

Yes, she had a small circle of friends, but it did little for her psyche to feel more confident.

So to remedy the situation, Karen formed a fondness for candy and Little Debbie treats.

Every day she would sneak them to her room and feast on a good ole sugar rush after hardly touching her dinner just to feel good again.

Something about that sugary treat made her feel ‘good.’ Even almost normal.

What was actually happening to her, which happens to most kids on sugary foods, was a physiological dependency of dopamine from a sugar spike.

At a physiological level, a spike of dopamine ( a feel-good neurotransmitter ) enters the system and releases serotonin, which gives you a feeling of happiness for a brief moment.

However, as quickly as the euphoric feeling comes, it is as soon as it crashes down.

What was actually happening to her, which happens to most kids on sugary foods, was a physiological dependency of dopamine from a sugar spike.

At a physiological level, a spike of dopamine (feel-good neurotransmitter ) enters the system and releases serotonin, which gives kids a feeling of happiness for a brief moment.

However, as quickly as the euphoric feeling comes, it is as soon as it crashes down.

The sudden crash of dopamine brings mood swings and insecurities, developing a neural and subconscious pattern that will follow a child into adulthood.

I know this sounds a bit heavy…

However, this is exactly what most adults have developed in various degrees of extremes regarding their relationship with ‘comfort food’ and their bodies.

The good news is that I was able to help Karen transform her own identity from being “the fat kid” to being a healthier, leaner, and MUCH happier version of herself..

After helping Karen...

I Then Got Bad News…

I was presented with a NEW problem...

One that has led me here to this very moment.

One day another member of mine asked me to please work with her son.

She has spent the last 5+ years fighting food issues with her nine-year-old son.  

I didn’t expect to work with kids back then, but… So, reluctantly, I said yes.

He is high-energy and struggles to sit still!  Due to his eating issues, his mom also had to pull him from public school.  

He will literally steal and hide sugary foods and eat them under a bed or in a closet.  

In her own words…

“He’s quick and sneaky.”  “He knows when you are distracted and always has a plan.  I’ve often said I should teach him chess because he’s always at least three moves ahead of me in his head.”

“He’s constantly in sugar-craving mode.” 

We tried everything! 

  • Strict keto

  • Detoxes

  • Reward trips to Gamestop if he listened to us.

  • Even “sugar-free” alternatives 

Still, all of it triggers that impulse to find sugar. 

He’s gotten so out of control that he will steal a loaf of bread or drink ketchup straight from the bottle. 

This severely affects his behavior.  

Then he would hide sugary packaged food instead of throwing the garbage away, he would throw it on the floor (almost like a plea for help - catch me!).  

His academics failed. 

He couldn’t concentrate on anything else. 

Everything revolved around sugary food.

 “I’m hoping we can get him on track. But, it’s a scary thought knowing how quickly a sugar addiction can become an alcohol addiction if we let it.”  

“There are so many similarities we can already see.  The manipulation he already uses to get to the sugar reward is terrifying!”

“This eating issue has affected us so much and has completely consumed our lives.” 

“When I think of my vision of being a mother, this was undoubtedly NOT it!”

Man, I wasn’t too confident I was ready to take on this kind of project, but here we go!

I knew that if I was going to impact this kid, I needed to get to know him and find some common ground.

That’s when I discovered that he loved superheroes.

I’m a huge Superman fan, so I began speaking to her son as if he was a superhero in training and I was his guide.

I also began relating nutrients in our healthy foods to powerful weapons and armor for the body.

I invited him to go on a quest with me. But, of course, it would require some imagination and real-world action.

As I began teaching him the weapons and powers our body has using the foods we eat, I noticed a sudden shift in his personality.

He was actually paying attention to me with his eyes wide.

Like I was speaking his language!

After just a few visits together, his mom came to me shocked and said this…

“Your program seems to be just what we are looking for!  He’s done all the videos for the first program.  He was sucked in!  He even refers to all his food by the appropriate hero or villain!  It’s exciting to see that.”

This was the message I received from her son...

Going back to that day with Karen, she told me, “I have an issue with walking past mirrors to this day because it makes me think back to my childhood as BEING ‘the fat kid" ...

That is when I realized how much the patterns & habits (both good and bad) we learned as a child impacted us later in life as adults.
